Hungry Minds- Presenting An Evening of Storytelling on Culinary Tales, Feb 1, 2016 5:30-7pm

The Worcester Center for the Crafts presents “Hungry Minds: An Evening of Storytelling.” Local culinary greats from different backgrounds and experiences come together for one night. 2 Chefs, 1 Food Publisher, 1 Culinary Photographer, and one Professional Story teller will present original culinary tales from their personal histories in a performance on Monday, February 1, 2016. All material is original and drawn from their life experiences into compelling culinary performances. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Krikorian Gallery at 25 Sagamore Road Worcester, MA 01605 and is free and open to the public.

On the roster for the evening are:

Domenic Mercurio, Publisher, Foodies Magazine,

Domenic is also the director of chains and key accounts for Global Wines, and has a background in, and real love for, Italian wines.  Domenic is also the managing director of Mercury Media & Entertainment, creator of the Worcester’s Best Chef competition, Foodies of New England TV, and publisher of Foodies of New England magazine. He will be generously be providing a wine tasting during his story telling.

Christopher Rovezzi, Rovezzi’s Ristorante  

Chef Christopher Rovezzi started in the restaurant Buisness at the age of 11 washing pots and pans at his dad’s restaurant in Worcester, MA. When his dad closed his restaurant it forced Chris out into the culinary world to continue his training. Chris reopened Rovezzi’s in 2002 in Sturbridge, MA and has provided the community with his take on Italian and Mediterranean cuisine ever since. He is know for his lusty, hearty dishes that at simply prepared and focus on artisanal hand made pastas.

Alina Eisenhauer, Sweet Bar and Kitchen

As the executive chef and owner of Sweet Bar and Kitchen on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester MA, serving up cakes and cupcakes during the day, and cocktails, appetizers, creative main meals and desserts in the evening has earned Alina Eisenhauer many accolades. In addition to being a successful chef and entrepreneur, Alina has been featured on three of Food Networks most popular competitions shows: Chopped, Cupcake Wars and most recently winning the premier episode of Sweet Genius.

Published writer and professional story spinner, Brendyn Schneider has been a featured storyteller at Club Passim, ImprovBoston, the Edith Wharton Estate, and other fine venues across New England. Making frequent appearances with Massmouth and the Moth, Brendyn takes his audiences on story-trips of wit through the follies of growing up.
