My dad’s garage was packed with tools and parts, and there were always several projects going at once. These air hose connectors were among the things I brought into my studio after he died.
I arranged them into a pile, letting the different shapes, threads, and worn metal surfaces come together. I loved the textures, the grime, and the familiarity of these things that had passed through his hands.
