Forgotten Spoons

Forgotten Spoons is the very first photograph created for the Worn Spoon Project. Two spoons, collected for their unusual shapes and beautiful tarnish, rest on a multicolored tile remnant salvaged from an old fireplace mantel in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Hydrangea blooms and buds gathered from a local yard frame the spoons, bringing a softness to these timeworn surfaces.

Part of Donna Dufault’s Worn Spoon Project, a collection celebrating the beauty of objects shaped by time, use, and the stories they carry.
